St. Augustine Beach City Commission
Residents first.
Families always.
Jacob Dascomb is running for Seat 3 to make St. Augustine Beach the best city for residents and raising a family — not for reckless development.
- 16 years as a federal civil servant
- Florida attorney and patent professional — no involvement with land development or tourism
- Wife and I are raising our 3 sons born here in St. Augustine
Who I am
I work in intellectual property — patents and inventions. My work is in no way related to land development or tourism. My only interest in running is to make this City the best city for residents and raising a family.
My wife and I are raising our three sons, born right here in St. Augustine. That is why I am running: to protect the place we call home.
Priorities
Clear commitments for St. Augustine Beach residents.
-
Preserve our character
Stop all reckless development and protect the character of St. Augustine Beach.
-
More affordable for families
Reduce the tax burden so families can afford to live and thrive here.
-
Spend tax dollars wisely
Eliminate unnecessary spending. Focus every dollar where it benefits residents most.
-
Safest place to raise a family
Keep the City a family-friendly place that is safe for kids.
-
Real choice on the Commission
Give residents a real vote for who represents them. Since 2017, residents have only had an opportunity to vote for 1 of the 5 commissioners for 1 of their terms. Residents need more opportunities to choose their representatives.
-
Tourists pay their fair share
Make tourists pay their fair share of the costs for services they consume (police, roads, and more). Pressure the county to return bed tax revenue to cover the ballooning cost of city services.
Raising our boys here
My wife and I are raising our three sons, born right here in St. Augustine. This campaign is about one thing: making St. Augustine Beach the best city for residents and for families like ours — and like yours.
“My only interest in running is to make this City the best city for Residents and raising a family.”
