$32,344 in development fees paid for a police drone with no separate debate
The City Commission on March 2 approved $32,344 in impact fees for a police drone and related expenses without pulling the item off the bundled list. Budget Resolution 26-03 rode a single motion.
Impact fees are charges collected on new building. This slice now buys aerial gear for the police department. The board did not hear a standalone case for why the Beach needed the kit this year.
Commissioner Dylan Rumrell moved approval of the bundled list. Mayor Beth Sweeny seconded. The vote was unanimous among the four members present. Commissioner Undine George was absent.
The drone passed the same way as the rest of the list: with the package, and with no separate airing of the spend.
