City's last $171,616.54 in COVID relief would go to paving, no street named

The commission will be asked to put the city's remaining COVID-relief balance into road paving. The sum is $171,616.54. The agenda does not name a street.

The balance is American Rescue Plan Act money, the federal COVID aid. Budget Resolution 26-15 would move all of it into the paving account for the 2027 budget year. That account would then stand at $171,616.54, the same figure as what is left, so the relief balance would be emptied into a road account holding nothing but this leftover.

In October 2026 the city is still lining up the last of that money. The packet gives the dollars a budget year and no pavement a neighbor could find.

The resolution is on the bundled list. It can pass in one vote with the rest of the package, and with no debate, unless a commissioner pulls it out.
