Linda Mar pump upgrade of $150,000 passed in a bundle with no separate debate

Article based on May 4, 2026 City Commission minutes, made available via city website ~May 4, 2026

The City Commission on May 4 approved Budget Resolution 26-08 as part of the consent agenda, increasing the fiscal year 2026 stormwater fund by $150,000 to modernize the Linda Mar Subdivision stormwater pump station.

Vice Mayor Virginia Morgan moved to approve the consent agenda, Commissioner Donald Samora seconded, and the motion passed unanimously among the four members present. Commissioner Dylan Rumrell was absent.

Consent items pass on one vote unless a commissioner pulls one for a separate discussion. Nobody did. That put a six-figure stormwater increase on the fast track. The minutes record no separate discussion of the Linda Mar pump.
