Staff health coverage baked in a 10.4 percent hike on the city’s payroll bill
Finance Director Patty Douylliez told commissioners June 9 that a proposed Cigna medical plan would raise employee health coverage about 10.4 percent, with a health reimbursement account to offset higher deductibles. Few carriers were bidding. The Commission was generally comfortable staying with existing providers rather than issuing an RFP, while keeping the door open if a cheaper rate showed up.
No contract was awarded.
