Roof build at 3 1st Street lands the owner in a fine-reduction hearing
Jordan Katz, owner of 3 1st Street, is on the October 28 code board agenda so the board can consider reducing fines over a structure put on the roof without a permit. The fine is already running. The hearing is the chance to ask that it be cut.
The notice does not describe a leak, a sag, or a risk to the house next door. It describes a build that went up before the city issued a permit, and it brings the owner in so the penalty can be reconsidered.
The structure is already up. What is left for the board is to decide what the missing permit still costs.
The matter is set for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, at City Hall, 2200 A1A South.
