Audit tied about $820,000 more in service charges to the new stormwater fund
The City Commission on April 6 unanimously approved the fiscal 2025 audit after Spencer Machuga of James Moore & Associates issued an unmodified opinion for the year ended Sept. 30, 2025.
Machuga said overall revenues rose about $620,000, driven mainly by about $820,000 more in charges for services for the new stormwater fund. Expenditures rose about $820,000, including about $420,000 in stormwater spending. Those new charges hit as service fees.
A commissioner asked whether the city could be in trouble for holding too much in reserve. Machuga said he knew of no maximum cap.
Commissioner Dylan Rumrell moved to approve the audit. Commissioner Donald Samora seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
