Building permit fees slid through in a bundle with no separate debate

Resolution 26-05, establishing fees for building permits and other related city services, never got its own discussion July 13. City Manager Max Royle asked that it be added to the consent agenda after the meeting had started. The commission agreed, then passed consent in a bundle.

Consent is one motion. Unless a commissioner pulls an item, permit fees ride through with the rest of the package — the same night the board spent a long stretch rewriting e-bike definitions.

Vice Mayor Virginia Morgan moved to approve the consent agenda. Commissioner Donald Samora seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

The resolution sets what owners pay the city for the privilege of a building permit. The public record of that night does not show a separate airing of the fees.
